The Old Cratloe Road Active Travel Scheme is a project being delivered by Limerick City & County Council. It is being funded by the National Transport Authority.
The Scheme is to be a key link between TUS to City Centre Active Travel Scheme and the Northern Distributor Road when completed.
The Scheme is currently in the Concept Development and Options Selection stage (Phase 2 of 7 in the NTA’s Project Approval Guidelines).
Following a tender process, a third party has now begun work on a Socio Economic Assessment Report into the vicinity surrounding the Old Cratloe Road area and other projects on the North side of Limerick city. Key stakeholders in the vicinity of the area are being approached to engage with this report in the form of digital surveys and face-to-face interactions.
It is intended to hold a non-statutory public consultation in respect of the scheme at a later date with statutory processes to follow thereafter.
