Throughout our European Green Leaf year, Limerick City and County Council developed a number of environmentally positive projects, which, it is hoped, will leave a legacy for Limerick and its people.
Due to the restrictions in place throughout the year, many of these events took place online and are available to watch on the Limerick EGLA2020 YouTube Channel.
The Council would like to call on all citizens and sectors within the city and county to engage and work collaboratively with us to get the most from this opportunity. This year allows Limerick an opportunity to really contribute to becoming more sustainable. Be part of the journey!

Let it Bee
One of the simplest actions that can be taken to help pollinators is to do nothing!

World Water Day
Scheduled to coincide with World Water Day on 22nd March, this event did not go ahead as planned due to Covid-19 public health restrictions.

Creating a Biodiversity Garden
A small green space beside Council Headquarters will be developed into a biodiversity garden to provide an example of what can be done in a small urban garden to invite nature in.
