The 5-Star Adare Manor is delighted to announce that they are to collaborate with Krug Champagne, one of the most luxurious and contemporary Champagne Houses in the world, to host a Private Krug Dinner at Adare Manor on the evening of Thursday 12th July 2018.
A limited number of guests can be accommodated at this special evening and these places must be confirmed in advance.
The evening will be jointly hosted by Jurica Gojevic, Head Sommelier at Adare Manor, and Julie Dupouy, Krug Irish Ambassador. Both Jurica and Julie have highly distinguished careers and have both served at award winning Michelin Star Restaurants. Ms. Dupouy holds the title of Best Sommelier in Ireland since 2009 and, in 2016, she finished 3rd at the ASI World Sommelier Championship.
Since the reopening of Adare Manor last November after an extensive restoration, refurbishment and expansion programme, a number of prestigious wine Houses and Estates from around the world have expressed a desire to come together with Adare Manor to create a Unique Dining Evening like no other.
Krug Champagne was founded by Joseph Krug in 1843 and is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region. Krug has claimed the top position as ‘The Most Popular Sparkling Wine’ by the well-respected Wine & Spirits Magazine. Krug is the only House to create only prestige Champagnes every year since 1843, which offers timeless and unexpected pleasure experiences.
The Private Dining Evening will commence with a Private Reception in The Cellar at Adare Manor, with Krug Champagne and Canapes. This will be followed by a four course Private Dining experience in The Library, by Adare Manor’s Head Chef Michael Tweedie. Formerly of two Michelin-starred restaurants, Michael Tweedie was recently recognised as one of the 10 best chefs in Ireland and the UK by the S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 competition. Each course will be complimented with a specially chosen Krug Champagne. Ms. Dupouy will introduce each Champagne to the group. The bottles tasted on the evening will have been specially selected by Jurica and Julie, and will not be revealed until the evening itself, however, they will include a Krug Grande Cuvée, Krug Rosé and Krug Vintage Champagnes.
