ADI Staff Nominate Beneficiaries of Analog’s Community Awards Scheme.
Analog Devices International (ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, has made financial donations to 39 community, voluntary and charitable organisations across Munster as part of its Community Awards and Charitable Donations Programme.
Employees from ADI’s Limerick and Cork sites were given the opportunity to have their say on who benefited from the programme. Over 200 nominations were made on behalf of a wide variety of educational, social, charitable, cultural and artistic organisations.
Following a review by Analog’s Community Relations Team, contributions were made across four category types; Platinum (1 award), Gold (3 awards), Silver (5 awards) and Bronze (30 awards).
As a long-standing charity partner of ADI, Milford Hospice received the Platinum donation.
Gold and Silver donations were made to 8 organisations including; Limerick Suicide Watch, Special Olympics Munster, TLC4CF (Tipperary-Limerick-Clare for Cystic Fibrosis), ADAPT House, Enable Ireland, Gateway to Education Limerick, My Canine Companion Autism Service Dogs, Waterman’s Lodge day & Respite Care Centre and the Alzheimer Society.
The Bronze recipients, 30 in all, included a wide variety of schools, sporting clubs, social enterprises and needy charitable causes based in Limerick, Cork and Tipperary.
All recipients were invited to a special award ceremony in Analog Devices, Limerick recently where the respective awardees were hosted by their nominating employee(s) and were presented with cheques by site leaders Denis Doyle and Leo McHugh.
Leo McHugh, VP – Industrial Business Units, ADI, said, “Many ADI employees already generously volunteer their time and energy helping diverse organisations in their localities. Our Community Awards and Charitable Donations Programme provides us with a great opportunity to recognise the positive impact these community, voluntary and charitable organisations are making in communities across Munster and help them build upon the great work that is already ongoing.”
Denis Doyle, VP & GM – Manufacturing, ADI, concluded, “This is a great example of the link between Analog Devices and the local community. Giving our employees a voice on how ADI distributes its charitable donations will hopefully encourage even more to become involved with local initiatives.
