Limerick City and County Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from town/village community groups and/or business interests who may have suitable projects for consideration under the Project Development Measure of Town Centre First.
The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, recently announced details of the new Town Centre First Suite of Supports, which further enhances the significant investment being made by the Department of Rural and Community Development in support of the Town Centre First Policy and main objectives of Our Rural Future. These supports will ensure resources are effectively allocated and assist local communities and town teams in leading the revitalisation of their towns and villages.
A maximum of 2 proposals can be selected for Limerick for progression to application stage. Grant funding up to a maximum value of €50,000 per application at a grant rate of 90% of total project cost and a minimum match funding rate of 10% of total project cost.
The two Expressions of Interest that are chosen by Limerick City and County Council for onward progression to application stage will be selected based on how the proposed project aligns with the objectives of “Our Rural Future – Ireland’s Rural Development Policy 2021-2025” and “Town Centre First – A Policy Approach for Irish Towns”

Expressions of interest can be submitted online via the following link and the closing date for completion of EOIs is 12 noon, Friday 22 March 2024.
