Emergency Services

If you need emergency services call 112 or 999. When your call is answered you will speak to an operator who will ask you which service you require, that is, Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade or Coast Guard.

In Ireland, the police service is called An Garda Síochána (also commonly referred to as the Gardaí). They have responsibility for carrying out all policing and security functions in Ireland, and their role includes; assisting victims of crime, crime prevention, community engagement, crime investigation and road safety.

For non-emergency or general enquiries, contact your nearest and/or local Garda Station. Telephone numbers for all Garda stations and key offices are available at Garda Stations Directory on www.garda.ie
