I am from Limerick and I represent Limerick City East Electoral Area in the Metropolitan District. I was first elected to Limerick City and County Council in 2019.

The reason I entered politics was because I felt my local community was under represented. Local people and communities need a voice so that they can be heard.
Helping local people and clubs is very important to me, and I feel that people in these communities need to be represented at local government level. Local groups and sports clubs are the heart of the local community and these groups need to feel that their local representatives bring their views to the Council.
Women in politics is very important - we need that balance around the table and I feel I am achieving that for the people of Limerick City East.
