The proposed scheme consists of a pavement inlay and construction of footpaths located on the N21 national primary road which is on a section between Abbeyfeale and Mount Mahon. Road markings, traffic calming measures, additional carparking and signage will be installed along with works to the entrances of numerous private dwellings and commercial properties which adjoin the road.
Limerick City and County Council has undertaken an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Stage 1 Assessment and has made an Appropriate Assessment Screening Determination in accordance with the EU's Habitats Directive Article 6(3) and The Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) in respect of the proposed road scheme.
