As a new academic year begins, Limerick City and County Council is urging third level students to venture beyond their campus boundaries to enjoy a different kind of energy in Limerick city.
New and returning students are in for an exciting "off-campus" experience with incredible offerings available within the vibrant heart of Limerick Student City.
Autumn is the time when Limerick’s cultural scene really comes alive as the city hosts a range of fun and diverse festivals and events, with EVA International, Polish Arts Festival, Cannonball Supercar Spectacle, Culture Night, Pigtown Festival and Munster Rugby v Barbarians all taking place in September.
To kickstart this new college term, the Council's Marketing & Communications department is engaging in a four-week social and digital campaign to showcase how students can make Limerick their home away from home while enjoying a complete college experience between life on and off campus
Limerick is a fantastic place to study but it's equally important for students to explore and enrich their lives by immersing themselves in Limerick city's culture and opportunities.
During this four-week initiative, our Marketing & Communications team will visit campuses at UL, MIC, TUS Moylish, and TUS LSAD on Clare Street. We aim to enlighten students about the city's hidden gems and exciting activities awaiting them.
Alongside our on-campus presence, we're launching a compelling social media campaign, part of our broader Limerick Student City initiative.
This campaign will spotlight Limerick's bustling event scene, with a strong emphasis on value-for-money experiences that will really click with students.
A handy Limerick City pocket map (also available online here) showcases the myriad off-campus activities tailored for Limerick's vibrant third-level student population. We invite all those pursuing further education, apprentices, and skill-based learners to discover Limerick's Top 10 Insta-worthy spots first-hand.
